Basic Information:
Compared with conventional AES, thickening-type AES has a lower viscosity and better fluidity. In addition, this product broadens the salt thickening range and is less prone to thinning back in salt-thickened systems.
Sodium Alcohol Ether Sulfate appears as a colorless to pale yellow gel paste, with good solubility in water. It has strong foaming power, excellent detergency and emulsification properties, good hard water resistance and biodegradability. It is widely used in daily chemical cleaning products such as dishwashing liquid, shampoo, body wash, laundry detergent and hand sanitizer, as well as in textiles, papermaking, industrial cleaning and other fields.
Alias: SLS/SDS/K12, Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate, Foaming Powder.White powder or needle-like crystals with a slight fatty odor.Soluble in water to form a translucent solution.Stable to alkalis, weak acids and hard water, with good compatibility with anionic and nonionic surfactants.Flammable, decomposes at high temperatures (>120°C).
White or pale yellow powder/granules; in liquid form, it appears as a transparent viscous liquid or milky white paste. It delivers strong detergency and performs well against particulate soils, oil grease soils and protein soils, with detergency improving at higher temperatures. It produces abundant, fast forming foam yet exhibits average foam stability. It has poor hard water tolerance; precipitates will form in the presence of calcium and magnesium ions, reducing detergency. Chelating agents such as EDTA or sodium citrate should be added in formulations. It features high degreasing power and relatively high skin irritation。
Brown or pale yellow viscous liquid with a characteristic odour. It is a strong organic acid, readily soluble in water (releasing heat upon dilution), and insoluble in common non-polar solvents. Stable under acidic conditions, it neutralizes with alkalis to form salts (such as LAS), and has a biodegradability rate of more than 90%. It is corrosive and strongly irritating to the skin and eyes.
Conventional AES exhibits good foaming performance, but produces relatively large, loose foam that lacks denseness.Foam-enhanced AES, improved on the basis of conventional AES, delivers richer and denser foam.
